Dr. Dahlman: Why Doesn’t My Doctor Know This? This is one of the only plans that is written by a doctor, though he is a chiropractor, and not a GI specialist. Deciding which IBS diet plan is right for you is a personal choice. With the medical community being often so confused, misinformed, and clueless as to what the actual cause of IBS is and how to treat it, there are no definite answers onto which program really is the best. The only thing you can do is to research them all as thouroughly as possible, inform your doctor of your decisions, and then follow it to see if it makes a difference for you.
